Direct to Paradise: Fly Cebu to Bantayan Island Flights Now Suspended

(KATTSI) regrets to announce that their direct chartered flight service between Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Bantayan Island has been suspended until further notice. The suspension comes just eight months after the service was launched, providing travelers with a quicker 30-minute flight to the stunning Bantayan Island, bypassing the usual 5-6 hour journey by land and sea.

In an advisory posted on May 3, 2025, KATTSI expressed regret over the suspension and stated that the reason for the operational pause remains unclear. While no specific timeline has been given for the service’s potential resumption, KATTSI has confirmed that it remains uncertain whether flights will restart.

The direct flights, which had been operating twice a week, provided a convenient option for visitors seeking a hassle-free way to reach the island’s picturesque beaches and serene surroundings. The route had quickly become popular among tourists, especially during peak travel seasons like Summer, Holy Week, and Christmas.

  • Cebu to Bantayan: Departs at 10:30 AM (every Monday and Sunday)
  • Bantayan to Cebu: Departs at 12:00 AM
• Aircraft: ATR 72-500 operated by Leading Edge Air Services Corporation
• Ticket Rates: Php 1888.00 to Php 2888.00 one-way (inclusive of one hand-carry item up to 7kgs)
• Departure Terminal: General Aviation Terminal (not Terminal 1 or Terminal 2)
• Terminal Fee: Php 100.00 (payable upon check-in)
